About the Department

The Department of Commerce, Government Degree College Mattan, was started with the inception of the college in 2019. The department is offering Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) under New Education Policy 2020 from the session 2022, and was offering Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) CBCS till the NEP 2020 was implemented. The Department is enriched with highly qualified faculty having expertise in Accounting, Finance, Marketing and Income Tax. To prepare the students for the dynamic needs of job market, the department aims to give the optimal mix of theoretical knowledge and practical application. Moreover various Skill courses are taught to ensure that the students find ample entrepreneurial opportunities. Over the years, the department has contributed significantly to the academic prestige of the institution, nurturing a generation of students who have to make their mark in the world of business and beyond.
